He expressed the expectation that the public could be informed of the outcome within the next 48 hours.

"In the next two to three days, we will have to talk with America. I will personally ask everyone at the Department of the Treasury to help us obtain a license so the refinery can operate. So far, we haven’t succeeded, but whether we will, we’ll see. I will work and make every effort, and we will inform you within 48 hours," he added.

Responding to a journalist’s question about his comment on Zdravko Ponoš’s statement that it is “too early to celebrate regarding NIS” and Ponoš’s question about whose money will be used for the purchase, Vučić said: “If it were our money, it would be visible because we would be boasting about it.”

Vučić reiterated that the Russians are currently negotiating with three companies to sell their stake in NIS.

"It’s a lot of money, but there are many companies interested. We’ll see what the price will be. Nothing is finalized. There is only the desire of the Russian owners to sell their stake, and discussions are ongoing with several companies—three, as far as I know," Vučić said, adding that everything regarding the sale of NIS will be transparent.

He noted that opposition members assume things based on themselves, as they “destroyed our army for a handful of dollars” just to stay in power a bit longer.

Vučić stated that for more than 40 days, no one felt that a drop of oil had not reached Serbia, as the refinery has not been closed and gas stations are operating without any problems.

"Someone had to work very seriously for that, while others did not," he said.

He emphasized that the fact that many companies are interested in buying a stake in NIS proves that Serbia is a good country for investment.

"Imagine the absurdity of us giving money to someone so that another person, who is a thousand times richer than us, becomes the owner. Please, explain that logic to me. There is no logic in it," he added.
