Warsaw accuses the Belarusian authorities of that, stating that it is "another action of the Belarusian enemy directed at Poland".

Belarus, on the other hand, says it is taking the necessary measures to ensure the smooth functioning of international traffic, as well as the safety of people moving on the highway. Due to the large influx of migrants, Lithuania has sent an army to the border with Poland and Belarus, and the authorities will, as Reuters reports, consider introducing an emergency situation at the border.

According to the Belarusian Border Service, more than 2.000 refugees are in front of the Polish fence. They repeatedly tried to inform the Polish side that they had left the country because their lives were in danger.

"Regardless of the fact that the migrants were not aggressive at that time, instead of trying to solve the situation, the army also raised aviation in order to exert psychological pressure. In addition, they used gas against people seeking protection," the statement said.

According to the data of the border committee, "in response to the unjustified use of special means, a part of the refugees took decisive action and started tearing down the Polish fence."

The situation on the border between Belarus and Poland is extremely tense, the Belarusian Border Service announced. Two battalions of the Polish army are mobilized due to the situation with migrants on the border with Belarus, it is stated on the army's Twitter. Judging by the photos, there are many women and children at the border, including babies.

There are about 3.000 migrants on the border between Belarus and Poland. They started setting up tents and lighting a fire, the Belta agency announced.
