The march for Aleppo, with the participants carrying white flags, began from the former Berlin airport Tempelhof.

According to organizers' plan, the participants will each day cross 20 kilometers and will passing through Germany, the Czech Republic, Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Macedonia, Greece and Turkey, over a period of about three months.

The participants "hope to get at least to the border between Turkey and Syria, and if possible to Aleppo," which has recently been the scene of fierce fighting, Tanjug is reporting.
