PM congratulates Christmas to those celebrating on Dec. 25

Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic sent Christmas greetings to the clergy and all Christians who celebrate Christmas according to the Gregorian calendar.

“I extend my most cordial greetings to all those who celebrate this greatest Christian holiday according to the Gregorian calendar," his message, posted on the Serbian government's website, reads, and adds:

"May this Christmas remind us of the values we all aspire to – mutual respect and nobleness.

I wish you to spend this holiday with your closest ones in peace, love and spiritual well-being."

Serbia's minority Catholic and Protestant Christians will mark Christmas on December 25, while the country's majority Eastern Orthodox believers will celebrate the holiday on January 7.
