Croatian police seize 150 kilos of cannabis

Croatian police have filed criminal charges “for drug abuse” against two Montenegrins, reports from Zagreb said. The pair were found in possession of 150 kilograms of cannabis. According to the police announcement, inside the truck were irons and ironing boards - legally declared cargo, about to be shipped to a legal entity in Italy. But sniffer dogs and vehicle x-ray machines soon discovered 299 plastic packages containing the drugs, hidden in the truck's ceiling, each containing half a kilogram. The cannabis was intended for the western European narco-market, police stated, pointing out that its total value was estimated at about EUR 560,000. Croatian police also said that they intensively cooperated with the Montenegrin Police Administration and enforcement agencies from other countries in order to make the seizure.
