The Croatian Minsitry of Foreign and European Affairs said in a statement that "Croatia considers its allegations about the 'discriminatory nature of the measures, which could only be compared to those employed in the past, during the fascist Independent State of Croatia' an utterly offensive, inappropriate and unacceptable way to communicate with a neighboring country."
"The problem of the rising refugee wave that Croatia and Serbia are both faced with should be dealt with in the spirit of good-neighborliness and European solidarity as well as through constructive cooperation in receiving the refugees at the Croatian-Serbian border. The situation can only be alleviated through coordinated efforts on both of our parts to reduce the pressure at our border," the Croatian ministry said, and added:
"As the EU heads of state and government concluded at yesterday’s meeting, there are no simple solutions to this crisis and this challenge can only be dealt with by working together in the spirit of solidarity and responsibility. Croatia will continue to strongly advocate appropriate assistance on part of the EU to the countries of the Western Balkans in managing the refugee routes, which was also one of the main messages at yesterday’s European Council meeting."
I think that as a sign of good will we should offer serbs a chance to house some of those refugees at the embassy building.

How do they know what's in the note when they haven't apparently read it? There's nothing particularly controversial about it or derogatory it's just another case of Croatia in denial about the facts of history WW2 and then "Oluja" They basically appear to dislike anyone who isn't a Croat, whatever that is. They too are all Serbs, look at their Prime Minister he's more Serbian looking than Nikola Tesla, but unfortunately they took the hand of Rome, and Catholicism has dragged them down into primitivism.Their attitude towards the Serbs of the Krajina whom they forcibly evicted is testament to their xenophobia. They have plenty of room for these refugees there in Croatia since from 1995 they have made it as difficult as possible for any of the 250,000 and more Serbs that were evicted to return. These Serbs from Krajina and these poor refugees from the Middle East have become about as welcome as a pork chop in a synagogue in Croatia, and the Syrian refugees are only trying to pass through, whilst the Serb refugees stay away as they know they are still treated as second class citizens there!
