Police probe bomber's motives

Serbian police (MUP) announced late on Saturday that they had apprehended a suspect in the case of the bombing of a judge's apartment in Knjaževac.

Serbian police (MUP) announced late on Saturday that they had apprehended a suspect in the case of the bombing of a judge's apartment in Knjazevac. Judge Velimir Lukic's wife Radica died in the attack earlier this week. Police probe bomber's motives Police now have the suspect, identified as Ljubisa Tosic, in their custody. Police Directorate chief Milorad Veljovic told B92 that his officers are working intensively to learn about the motives of the bomb attack. Investigators said earlier they believed that the target was the judge himself, rather than the victim. Veljovic also said this week that police believe the murder was connected to last year's killing of Judge Dragisa Cvejic, also in Knjazevac. Ivan Stojadinovic was indicted in that case, but his trial has been postponed.

Police probe bomber's motives

Police now have the suspect, identified as Ljubiša Tošić, in their custody.

Police Directorate chief Milorad Veljović told B92 that his officers are working intensively to learn about the motives of the bomb attack.

Investigators said earlier they believed that the target was the judge himself, rather than the victim.

Veljović also said this week that police believe the murder was connected to last year's killing of Judge Dragiša Cvejić, also in Knjaževac.

Ivan Stojadinović was indicted in that case, but his trial has been postponed.
