Vučić in Priboj: ''We solved a big issue today'' PHOTO/VIDEO

During his visit to Priboj Spa, Vučić, in a conversation with representatives of the local self-government, noticed that this area has made a lot of progress.

He said that a lot has been done in Priboj, and that more needs to be done in Prijepolje.

He said that the gondola should go to the Priboj spa, and with accompanying facilities, football and golf fields, it would cost from 70 to 100 million, for the construction of the hospital, as he said, 30 million would be needed, for the construction of the gymnasium 4 sewers 12, and waste water purifiers five million.

Meeting with representatives of the Bosniak community

President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, after visiting the spa center in Priboj Spa and talking with the inhabitants of the Priboj region, also met with representatives of the Bosniak community.

At the beginning of the meeting, Vučić invited them to say what needs to be done for Priboj.

He met with the political and religious representatives and leadership of all three political parties that represent them in the local parliament, and are also a unique part of the government in the ruling coalition in multinational Priboj.

Tour of the spa center

Then the tour of the spa center "Terme 36.6" began. The new spa center was built by investor Goran Despić, as a continuation of the tourism development program in southwestern Serbia.

"People don't understand that when you build, it's a question of growth. When you're standing still, that's not good," said Vučić.

He noticed that the nature in this area is beautiful when he was coming from Zlatibor by helicopter. Vučić also stated that he noticed that the stadium in Priboj had been renovated and that new chairs had been installed.

Vučić said that with the construction of the Spa center "Terme 36.6" in Priboj spa, a great thing has been completed and that he is overjoyed because of that, as well as that he will be even more satisfied if a hotel is also built in Prijepolje. He said that he was promised that it would be done.

During the conversation with the representatives of the local self-government, he said that he heard that a ski track should be built in Nova Varoš.

"We are working on Milesevo, Kamena Gora, our problem is Prijepolje, where people should stay," said Vučić. The road ends near Priboj, two kilometers left. They found that the most important thing is to finish the hospital and health center. He pointed out that more investors should be brought to Prijepolje. The program of the visit includes a tour of the "Terme 36.6" spa center in Priboj, followed by a meeting with representatives of the Bosniak community at the "Terme 36.6" Hotel in Priboj.

Then a visit to the "Maridruna" knitting workshop is planned. Hotel "Terme 36.6" got its name from the temperature of the healing spa water in Priboj Spa, which is 36.6 degrees Celsius, which is also the ideal temperature of the human body. The former hotel "Priboj" was opened in 1950 and was one of the most beautiful hotels in southwestern Serbia, later it became known as "Bić", but over time it was completely ruined. The owner of the hotel "Spa terme 36.6" and investor Goran Despić stated that the spa center has five floors, two above-ground and underground pools, and that it is unique in Serbia because it has a source of thermal water with a temperature of 36.6 degrees.

After visiting the Spa center, Vučić will also meet with representatives of Bosniaks, their religious representatives and the leadership of all three political parties that represent them in the local parliament and are also a unique part of the government in the ruling coalition in the multinational Priboj.

Address and media questions

During his address, Vučić reminded that there are 2.4 km left to Priboj spa to be completed and that many more roads will be built.

"We will be working and building a lot here. You saw these 27 kilometers that we did. There are still 2.4 kilometers left to finish via Kokin Brod to PriboJ spa. A big investment by the state. We approved today the investment for the gondola between Tornik and Zlatibor and Priboj spa, that's 14.7 kilometers, no less than 30 million euros," he said. He also reminded of other upcoming investments: hospital, gymnasium, sewerage... When asked by journalists about the works in Sastavko, he said that the works for Sastavko, for Kalafati, for Bare, for Ćetenje and for the Prijepolje villages towards Kamená Gora will start soon. He said that he wants to invest more in Prijepolje, and that he is satisfied with Priboj. Regarding the reconstruction of the state road Bistrica - Uvac, Vučić said that the gondola will be a big deal for Uvac and that there will be one station there. "When construction on Bistrica starts, it is a very important project, an energy facility of the greatest importance for the entire country. We have already allocated so much money... This whole region south of Zlatibor will look completely different," he said. He said that Bistrica is the biggest project, that project will be worth one billion and 200 million. The minister of energy is going to Japan tomorrow or the day after tomorrow to discuss the whole project.

"With the Expo, we will overtake many cities, it is important that we do something for central Serbia. Look at what Belgrade Waterfront looks like. I want to get closer to the inland and deliver the best results there," he concluded.
