Pacolli said that Pristina's representatives "had the right to participate in the summit" and believes that Belgrade - which does not recognize the unilaterally declared independence of Kosovo, its southern province - "should treat them as a delegation from any other state."

He claims that by "not recognizing the Pristina delegation as a delegation from any other state, Belgrade violated previously reached agreements," and also that Belgrade did this "in an organized way without respecting any rules."

Pacolli told a press conference that during a panel at the summit, organizers allegedly turned off the microphone used by a member of the Pristina delegation "gave it to someone from the audience who sent a chauvinist message against Kosovo."

Pacolli also claims that similar "situations occurred on other panels" and revealed that he "blames the host."
