1. (Tito reloaded, 1 January 2019 14:55)
Tito killed tens of thousands not just in the first 5 years but going right into the early 1960s. Anyone who opposed his regime disappeared – anyone. Don’t try and whitewash history. That’s typical of what the Communists did.
As far as Chetniks were concerned they were an opposition which was very different from the Ustashi who were mass murders.
Boris Tadic whined about not enough air time for his opposition then when he came to power the other side said the same thing. Tadic banned demonstrations and the democratic west did not say a peep about it.
Generally, people are not stupid. Vucic is bringing investment and jobs opening up everywhere so why do you think 70% say they would vote for him. Hell, I’d vote for him if he did that in Australia.
Serbs have for too far long propped up the “Yugoslavs” and its time now to look after themselves. Look at Croats who for decades whined about how Croatia was the financial backbone of Yugoslvaia. How quickly they learn it was all Croat BS.
The only way Yugoslavia was kept together was through a dictatorship. At first weakness the Croats bolted.
The Yugoslav economy was mediocre at best and in the last 15 to 20 years before the break up it was borrowings used to increase wages not production.
The only economy moving up is in Serbia, the others are stagnant at best. I don’t care about anyone else but the Serbs. Let the others fend for themselves.

  7. @titoreloaded.

The peace for a farce, it was forced upon the people by an iron hand. Early 90's clearly demonstrated this.

The economy was heavily subsidized by western loans in the 80's, where 1/3 state industries were not even profitable. It was so back wards that it took on average 10 people to do an equvalent that 1 Israeli could do. free market comptition annihilated eastern communism, it was not even close. Again if Tito was not in charge these issues would not happened, Serbia would most likely be a bit weaker than Austria right now.

  8. @sj: the 10.000s were mainly in the first 5 years after ww2, a clean up of ustasa and cetniks (I agree that family members should have been spared amd that in many cases kicking them out of the country would habe done the job too.) Goli Otok was less than 500.
Nationalists in the 90s did ethnical cleansing again, all of them, of course the winner kicked out more. And this guys and there inheritants are still at power in bosnia, croatia, kosovo and serbia. And they still like to keep up the hate on the 'others'.
I agree there must be elections and not a simple takeover. But it must be fair and not that one party has 5-10 times more TV time than the rest. I also wonder how people can sign at elections that they voted, if they were not even in the country. I know one case and of course that could have been done by any party.
Who am I? Somebody that do not see somebody as enemy because that one has a certain religion, language,... And Albanian, bosnian, croatian, serbian nationalists are for me the same.
@M: longest time of peace at balkan. Economy was 5-1 0 years behind the west but at least people had social security. Now 15-20 years behind, many people working without beeing registered, not having social security, retirement money that you would starve without support from family members.

Well you can always try and bring Tito back from the dead.
As far as Djilas is concerned, they can demonstrate until the cows come home and nothing will change. But even better when offered to go to the polls and let the people decide, guess what? Jeremic and Djilas don’t want that. They want Vucic and his party to resign so they just step in Government; democratically naturally LOL.
The only people that lament Tito are young Croats who were not even born during his time and Albos who received great benefits from that clown.
A joke going around in the 1970s in Yugoslavia goes like a postman was once called in to the Director’s office on 7 January and as he walked in he said “Hristo se rodi” the Director answered “Smrt fasizmu” the postman’s response was “i tako ce i vama”, and so it came to pass LOL.
Your Tito killed tens of thousands to remain in power so who are you to criticize anyone?

What took me years and years to achieve has been undermined by the weakest link “Serbjia” first Milosevich and now Vucic Leading nationalist Serbian fanatics that are hell bent on creating a greater serbjia thru aggression and against all other ethnic groups of my dear what was Yugoslavia, and even the wider region

The people of civilized serbjia must rise up and take back their humanity if any is still left, as they and their republic what remains of it are digging a larger and larger grave for themselves

TAKE BACK YOUR REPUBLIC WHAT REMAINS OF IT BEGORE IT IS TO LATE

  15. @sj and M: supporting Vucic and SNS which have their roots at seselj is sick. This scum and their mindset lead together with their brothers in mind from croatia, bosnia and kosovo to 10.000s deaths and 100.000s expelled from their homes.
The whole mess in serbia is because of the nationalists. And they still try to keep up the hate and fear.
I would not mind any violence against them, as they are responsible for many deaths in the balkans.

LOL. I don't know his policies, but he's definitely right about that. Vucic keeps lying about Kosovo. Keeps creating a "fake crisis" and uses it whenever it's politically beneficial.
The Kosovo "issue" has been solved 20 years ago, when it won its freedom from Serbia. Time for both countries to stop spending money and energy fighting each other and start improving their economy and standard of living.

Did they manage to attract any investment? NO. Alas for teh western stooges like Dragan Djilas the people of Serbia like Vucic and his SNS.
Keep up the demos since that's all you can do and maybe the US of Piss and Wind will give you as crumb or two LOL.
