Zelensky: Ukraine must be ready for all options

"The most important thing is that I am not clinging to my office. I believe Ukraine must be prepared for every scenario," Zelensky said, according to Ukrinform.

The Ukrainian president also stated that he had asked "partners" to assist regarding the security situation if elections are to take place.

"I told the MPs to prepare options so that they could be implemented if the situation develops accordingly. The MPs should promptly develop models for holding the elections," Zelensky emphasized.

He added that he had received signals from the United States, including from U.S. President Donald Trump, regarding the Ukrainian presidential elections.

"Whether these signals come exclusively from the U.S. or also from the Russian side, I do not wish to comment on that at the moment," Zelensky noted.

As previously reported by Ukrinform, Trump stated in an interview with Politico that a "crucial moment" had arrived for Ukraine to hold presidential elections despite the ongoing war with Russia.
