The peace for a farce, it was forced upon the people by an iron hand. Early 90's clearly demonstrated this.

The economy was heavily subsidized by western loans in the 80's, where 1/3 state industries were not even profitable. It was so back wards that it took on average 10 people to do an equvalent that 1 Israeli could do. free market comptition annihilated eastern communism, it was not even close. Again if Tito was not in charge these issues would not happened, Serbia would most likely be a bit weaker than Austria right now.
