EU should know that they have a pretty abysmal and tragic history when it comes to giving Serbia "deadlines". Let's just say that the one they gave us on July 23, 1914 didn't go over too well.

DEDA, or is your name Dodo, I have news for you: The EU did not exist in 1914. However, Milosevic was given 31 "deadlines" by NATO, concerning Kosova during 1998-1999. We all know how that turned out for Serbia.

No other alternative for Serbia. They don't want to join NATO (for now), and if EU says no to them Serbs will become like North Korea.

Brussels has categorically stated that Pristina must a) implement the Serb municipalities, b) must ratify the border agreement with Montenegro and c) must support the war crimes court in the Hague.
It is refusing all three.
Yet we are to believe that Pristina can just 'wait it out'.

That is exactly what is happening now. The Serbian government is trying to show itself as being tough and a defender of the Serb people with tough talk being thrown at Croatia. Hoping Croatia will respond so as to distract the people from what is being negotiated with Kosovo.
The Albanians in Kosovo just have to play it cool, show small movement and slowly run out the clock while the Serbian people focus their attention on Croatia. The next thing you know there will be deal which will be put to a referendum and thereby seal the future of Serbia’s relationship with the EU and Kosovo for the better or worse.
