SARAJEVO Human remains discovered near Sarajevo could belong to Serbs killed by units of a Sarajevan gangster Jusuf Juka Prazina. “The discovered bones could belong to Slobodan Samaric, Stana Sehovac and other Serbs who were killed in Alipasino polje in the beginning of the war in Bosnia-Herzegovina,” said Association of the missing persons from Sarajevo-Romanija region President Milan Mandic. “Remains found in Sarajevo could belong to missing Serbs” The excavation was temporarily suspended until the Missing Persons Institute of Bosnia-Herzegovina gets a green light from the Bosnian Prosecution to resume exhumation. The prosecution has said that the order should be issued quickly. The search for the remains of the missing Sarajevo Serbs in the Alipasino polje area started a few days ago but it has been determined that they had been relocated to a another mass grave. Mandic pointed out that a man had then come forward, claiming he had new information. “He said he was a member of Juka Prazina’s unit. He said that he last saw the bodies of Stana Sehovac, Slobodan Samaric and few other Serbs at this location. It looks like we are on the right track now,” he told Banja Luka-based daily Glas Srpske. According to him, Sehovac was taken from her apartment to a local cafe, which served as a prison camp for Serbs during the war, by member of Prazina’s unit Esad Suljevic in May 1992. She was killed the same day. “Citizens of Sarajevo and Alipasino polje should be ashamed because they never had any conscience or common sense to report locations where their neighbors had been murdered, to help us find the remains of our loved ones,” Mandic pointed out. Djordje Sehovac who has been searching for his wife Stana for years said that she was last seen on May 20, 1992 when she was taken from the apartment by their neighbors. “Our daughters were in the apartment and they recognized them. We have been looking for her ever since. We hope that we will at least find her bones and bury her,” he said. Milena Kulina, who has been trying to find the remains of her husband Andjelko since 1992, says that three uniformed Muslim soldiers took her husband on May 20, 1992 and that nobody has seen or heard from him since. “It is sad and sorrowful what they are doing to us. I hope that I will find the bones of my husband despite everything and that I will give him a decent burial,” she noted. Tanjug
