This is according to City of Nis Fire and Rescue Brigade Commander Srdjan Nikolic. Serbian firemen to help fight fires in Greece “Nis sent 12 firefighters in two vehicles,” he told Tanjug. Serbian Prime Minister and Interior Minister Ivica Dacic said in the central Serbian town of Guca on Friday that Greece had accepted the offered assistance and that Serbia would promptly send fire engines and firefighters to the endangered region. “Niš sent 12 firefighters in two vehicles,” he told Tanjug.

Serbian Prime Minister and Interior Minister Ivica Dačić said in the central Serbian town of Guča on Friday that Greece had accepted the offered assistance and that Serbia would promptly send fire engines and firefighters to the endangered region.

Dačić said he had told his Greece colleagues a Russian helicopter located at the Niš airport could be utilized for the purpose.
