Electricity has been restored in Gracanica, after the majority of residents paid the EUR 26 installment per household for power usage over the last two months. The Kosovo Electric Corporation (KEK) turned the power back on in Gracanica last night, though Serbs in Caglavica are still without electricity for a second consecutive day. Power restored in Gracanica Residents of Caglavica expect to be reconnected to the electricity network today, after members of the village council gathered the signatures of more than 80 percent of households agreeing to pay the EUR 26 fee. A Serbian government task force is actively working on all problems related to electricity in Serb villages in Kosovo, where residents are insisting on the introduction of a new distributor. Belgrade expects a new distributor to start working in these areas soon.

Residents of Čaglavica expect to be reconnected to the electricity network today, after members of the village council gathered the signatures of more than 80 percent of households agreeing to pay the EUR 26 fee.

A Serbian government task force is actively working on all problems related to electricity in Serb villages in Kosovo, where residents are insisting on the introduction of a new distributor.

Belgrade expects a new distributor to start working in these areas soon.
