World's best tennis player Novak Djokovic received the Vermillion Medal for Physical Education and Sports, presented by Prince Albert of Monaco. The Serbian athlete is one of several laureates, that include prominent athletes and sports professionals in Monaco, said reports. The ceremony was held on Monday, during the Monte Carlo Masters. Djokovic, who resides in the tiny Mediterranean principality, will not compete in the first round. He will play against the winner of the Andreas Seppi-Viktor Hanesku match in the second round.
