The Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosted a charity reception for members of the diplomatic corps, who donated several hundred New Year's presents. Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic late on Sunday delivered them to the children of Kraljevo - the central Serbian town hit by a destructive earthquake in early November. FM delivers gifts to earthquake town The gifts went to children who receive aid from the Center for Social Work and children from families that lost their homes in the earthquake. Jeremic said that diplomats are working hard to collect aid for Kraljevo and spread awareness of the current situation in the earthquake-struck city. Asked about the ruling Democratic Party (DS) Election Convention, at which he failed to get elected party vice president, Jeremic said that basic decency prevents him from diverting attention, either with his statements or actions, from the people who won.
