The District Court in Prizren has decided to detain Goran Vuckovic for 30 days, on "war crimes and threats" suspicion. This is according to reports in the Albanian language media in Pristina today. Kosovo: Serb man remanded in custody Vuckovic, a Kosovo Serb who resides in Belgrade, was arrested on Tuesday "for threatening a neighbor, and suspicion that he committed war crimes in Kosovo in 1998-99". On Thursday, a judge made a decision to extend his custody on a prosecutor's request, "due to the gravity of the act the accused is suspected of and due to fear that he might flee Kosovo, considering that he lives in Serbia since 1999". Kosovo police, KPS, spokesman in Prizren Azir Berisa said that Vuckovic was taken into custody for allegedly threatening a local in Gornje Selo village. Once he was detained, another local recognized him as perpetrator of war crimes, according to the spokesman. Vuckovic was in the province visiting his parents who live near Prizren. His family has rejected any possibility that was involved in committing war crimes.
