Germany's EnBW has stated that it is no longer interested in building a thermo-electric power plant in Kosovo.

Germany's EnBW has stated that it is no longer interested in building a thermo-electric power plant in Kosovo. This came despite the fact that it had participated in a tender together with American WGI. Germany's concern RWE withdrew last month. Thus, two interested consortia remain in the competition for a construction of a 2,000-MW thermo-electric power plant. One is Italy's Enel and Greece's Sencap, member of the Public Power concern, while the other is Czech CEZ, together with U.S. company AES. The Kosovo side is not running the process regularly, the American Chamber of Commerce in Kosovo responded, adding that this is not a good signal for the project or for foreign investments on the whole.
