An inmate at Belgrade District Prison Adnan Aljuši hung himself this morning, reports the Justice Ministry.

An inmate at Belgrade District Prison Adnan Aljusi hung himself this morning, reports the Justice Ministry. According to a statement from the ministry’s administration for the execution of penitentiary sanctions, Aljusi (24) was found dead by prison officers carrying out their regular rounds at just before 0700. Inmate found dead at Belgrade prison The duty doctor from the Special Prison Hospital was immediately informed who confirmed death, as were members of Vozdovac police station whose officers carried out an inquest. Aljusi was serving a four-month sentence for attempted theft, and was due to leave prison on July 8, this year.
