Representatives of the railways of Serbia, Croatia and Slovenia signed a protocol on the harmonization of the founding act of joint railway company Cargo 10.

Representatives of the railways of Serbia, Croatia and Slovenia signed a protocol on the harmonization of the founding act of joint railway company Cargo 10. The protocol practically sets up the company that is aimed at reducing the time of transport along Corridor 10 by train. Protocol signed for joint railway company Serbian Minister of Infrastructure Milutin Mrkonjic said that the founding document now has to be verified by the governments of all three states, announcing that the first train is scheduled to depart from the railway station in Ljubljana on October 1 at noon. The company will be based in Ljubljana, because Slovenia is in the European Union. It will have three directors and its task will be to shorten the cargo transportation distance along Corridor 10 from Ljubljana to Istanbul by speeding up border proceedings, and attract cargo transportation from Corridor 4, which runs through Hungary, Romania and Bulgaria. Representative of the Croatian railways Zlatko Rogozar told reporters that the agreement is very important for the Croatian railway, because 70 percent of its income comes from Corridor 10. Representative of the Slovenian railways Robert Vuga said that the joint company has great development potential for the Slovenian railways, due to the great potential of Corridor 10. The protocol was signed by Rogozar, Vuga and representative of Serbia's Zeleznica Srbije Dragan Grujic, in the presence of Croatian Ambassador to Serbia Zeljko Kupresak.
