Patriarch of the Serbian Orthodox Church infected with COVID-19
"Given that the result of today's test of His Holiness Patriarch of Serbia Porfirije on the SARS-CoV2 virus is positive, in accordance with certain protocols and advice of doctors, the head of the Serbian Orthodox Church will spend the coming days on home treatment," the SPC statement said."His Holiness has very mild symptoms of infection, he has been prescribed appropriate therapy and respects all epidemiological measures. Through electronic communications, he is in constant contact with associates and performs administrative tasks completely unhindered. Patriarch expresses regret that the public manifestations in which he was supposed to participate have been postponed until further notice", the statement said.
