The Drina River has receded in the area of Loznica, western Serbia, and the efforts are now ongoing to pump the remaining flood water out of gardens and homes.

Authorities are also looking to disinfect the area and provide the population with supplies and medical help. The population needs plenty of supplies, including firewood and food for livestock, Katanic stated. The Drina flooded some 1,000 homes in the Loznica area, besides a large number of other facilities and 6,000 hectares of land. The flood forced more than 500 people to evacuate.
