Belgrade Mayor Dragan Djilas says that everything is ready for the World Student Games to get under way in the capital. “All of the buildings are ready, so too are all Belgraders and volunteers,” Djilas told journalists, adding that he was confident that the Belgrade would leave a positive impression on the ten thousand or so visitors expected in the city during the Games. Djilas: City ready for Student Games The mayor was making a tour of some of the sporting venues, including the Hall of Sports in New Belgrade, roads close to the athletes’ village, and the Tasmajdan sports center. “New roads and boulevards have been finished in a matter of several months, proving that, when we want to get something done, we do it,” Djilas said.
