The police have prohibited members of the "Europe has no alternative" group from holding a rally at the Slovenian embassy. Simon Simonovic of the group told B92 that they had intended to hold a campaign entitled “Window into Europe” in front of the Slovenian embassy in Belgrade, where members of the movement were to replace the window smashed there during the anti-independence demonstrations in Belgrade last week. Police ban pro-European performance “We have been prohibited from holding the Europe Has No Alternative rally in front of the Slovenian embassy on the basis of Article 11, paragraph 1. We feel that this is a very dangerous indicator of the state of society where gestures of friendship cannot be allowed and where Serbia’s European message mustn’t be heard, while groups of hooligans appear and destroy our city,” Simonovic told B92.
