Diagnosis: Kosovo syndrome?
B92 learned from a friend of his that Protić had psychological problems stemming from his service as a soldier in Kosovo during the 1999 NATO bombing campaign.B92 also found out that he threatened to jump off another building once before in December 2006, but was stopped by a neighbor.
Laza Lazarević Director Dragiša Ranđelović confirmed that Protić has already been treated at the institute twice, once in 2004 and again in 2006, about a month ago.
“Since we are dealing with a young man who was in Kosovo in 1999 when he was 21, such situations can have great effects on the nervous system and psychological state of an individual, and can start the mehanism for mental diseases,” Ranđelović said.
