Vojislav Milošević of the European Movement in Serbia said that Serbia will "soon enter the Schengen white list" and that there will no longer be a need for such projects.

“This project is of a regional character,” Milošević said, adding that this program will be implemented in other regional countries such as Macedonia, Montenegro, Albania and Bosnia-Herzegovina, where similar travel problems exist.

“I think that we will do this next year too and I really expect that by 2009, Serbia will be on the Schengen white list and the living standard of  Serbian citizens will have greatly improved,” Milošević said.

The organizers believe that the project is a good promotion of European ideas and values, which is shown in the fact that "no one has come back from this trip disappointed in the last two years."

The project is led by the European Movement in Serbia in cooperation with the Austrian embassy and supported by the Belgrade city council.

The project was initiated to enable some of Serbia's best students to travel around European and gather first-hand experiences, since most are unable to do so because of the finances and visas necessary for such trips.
