The high international representative in Bosnia has threatened to sack Serb republic (RS) President Milorad Dodik over a referendum planned in the Serb entity. Valentin Inzko told Sarajevo-based daily Dnevni Avaz that the referendum will "bring into question the existence of the Court and Prosecution of Bosnia-Herzegovina", and warned this would "not go without consequences". International rep warns Dodik "could be sacked" "Only a naive person could believe that such disrespect of the most important document for Bosnia-Herzegovina, the Dayton Peace Accords, could go without any consequences. I do not wish to be forced to use the powers of my mandate, but I have all the support I need to do it," said the Austrian diplomat, who is at the helm of the Office of the High Representative (OHR). The defense of the peace agreement, he said, "represented the basic task", and added he would "not shy away from this responsibility". When the newspaper's reporter asked whether he'd sack Milorad Dodik or RS Parliament Speaker Igor Radojicic, Inzko said that he "hoped he wouldn't have to do it", but that such a move was not ruled out. "I am still considering what I could do. I still hope I won't have to act," said he. The RS assembly previously decided to call a referendum on the Bosnia-Herzegovina Court and Prosecution, the founding of which was imposed by the high representative in 2003. The Dayton Peace Accords were signed in 1995 to end the three-year war in Bosnia, and organized that country into two entities: the Serb republic, and the Muslim-Croat Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina.
