Russia and the Republic of Srpska (RS) look to strengthen their cooperation through projects in this Bosnian Serb entity. This was heard after a meeting between Russia's Vice Premier Igor Sechin and RS Prime Minister Milorad Dodik in Banja Luka. Russia, RS to strengthen ties "All our big companies – Inter Rao, Rosneft, Transneft and Gazprom – are working actively in your republic. We have a high level of understanding and economy ties continue to develop," said Sechin. "The projects that are contributing to the prosperity of the local populations, as well as to the contacts between our companies, are applied in the republic," the Russian vice-premier continued. Dodik told reporters that the RS "expresses its satisfaction over the developing energy cooperation with Russia". This cooperation in the electric energy sector will be strengthened, Sechin added. Russia's Inter Rao looks to participate in the construction of new and modernization of the existing energy capacities in the RS.
