Greek PM Kostas Karamanlis on Friday sent "a stern warning" to the authorities in Skopje, reports said. He said that should Macedonia "continue with an atmosphere of provocations, nationalism and intolerance, not a single euro would arrive from Greece to this country for the construction of the pan-European Corridor 10", on whose renaming Macedonian authorities "insist provocatively". Karamanlis in "stern warning" to Skopje Addressing the Greek parliament, Karamanlis spoke about Skopje's decision to name its part of the highway from the Serbian border in the north to the southern border with Greece Alexander of Macedonia (Alexander the Great). A Greek program for economic reconstruction and construction of the Balkans, known as HIPERB, has a total of EUR 152mn allocated to this project, Greek news agency ANA reported. Karamanlis accused the Macedonian government of being "inflexible and making provocative decisions, like the historically unfounded renaming of sports arenas, roads and Corridor 10", and added that this "short-sighted policy was opposed to good neighborly principles and relations".
