Three Bosnian Serbs were arrested Monday in eastern Bosnia, officials in Sarajevo said. Bosnia's State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) detained the three on suspicion that they committed war crimes during the country's 1992-1995 war, Bosnia's judicial authorities confirmed. 3 Serb war crimes suspects detained in Bosnia Bosnia-Herzegovina's State Prosecutor's office identified the suspects as Veljko Basic, 82, Predrag Bastah, 55, and Goran Viskovic, 54. They are wanted for alleged crimes against humanity against non-Serb population in the Vlasenica area in the early stages of the war. Bastah and Viskovic, according to report, served with the reserve force of the Bosnian Serb police during the war. They are suspected of detaining Bosnian Muslims - Bosniaks - in Vlasenica and its wider area, and taking them into the town's Susica detention facility, run by Basic. It is believed that more than 800 Bosniaks were executed in the Susica prison in Vlasenica during the war in Bosnia-Herzegovina.

3 Serb war crimes suspects detained in Bosnia

Bosnia-Herzegovina's State Prosecutor's office identified the suspects as Veljko Bašić, 82, Predrag Bastah, 55, and Goran Visković, 54.

They are wanted for alleged crimes against humanity against non-Serb population in the Vlasenica area in the early stages of the war.

Bastah and Visković, according to report, served with the reserve force of the Bosnian Serb police during the war.

They are suspected of detaining Bosnian Muslims - Bosniaks - in Vlasenica and its wider area, and taking them into the town's Sušica detention facility, run by Bašić.

It is believed that more than 800 Bosniaks were executed in the Sušica prison in Vlasenica during the war in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
