PM believes "solution will be found" for Pristina's blockade

We are working with both Brussels and Pristina, Vucic replied to reporters after touring a school in Koceljeva.

“I cannot go into detail. We are making a comprehensive effort to solve the issue. At this moment, I cannot say whether this will happen today or in seven days,” the prime minister said.

The authorities in Pristina are not allowing entry to trucks from central Serbia carrying hazardous substances - oil and gas.

The Kosovo authorities have described the measures as reciprocal, and the Serbian government has said that Pristina is violating the CEFTA agreement and that Belgrade is in constant contact with Brussels over the matter.

Serbian Trade Minister Rasim Ljajic explained that Serbia had to ban the passage of vehicles carrying hazardous materials because Pristina, although not a signatory to the European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road, proceeded to issue certificates on its own.

Serbian oil companies deliver about 5,000 tons of fuel to Kosovo each month. While tanker trucks are standing at the boundary, prices in Kosovo are rising. In addition, Marko Mihajlovic from Tim Petrol says there are probably "alternative routes" to bring fuel to Kosovo - "via Albania and Greece, or Macedonia."

President of the Union of Employers Nebojsa Atanackovic has said that although the Serbian side is suffering more economic damage in this dispute, Belgrade should not give in to Pristina's failure to respect international regulations, and added that he "hopes this will have to be solved, under pressure perhaps also from the international community."

Kosovo and Serbia exchange goods worth RSD 456 million each year - with Pristina delivering goods worth 25 million, while those coming to the southern province from central Serbia reach the value of 431 million.
