Liht appointed MFA council head

Head of the Belgrade Fund for Political Excellence NGO Sonja Liht was made president of the Foreign Policy Council of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Speaking at a press conference in Belgrade on Friday, she said that Serbia's key strategic priority for next year would be the speeding up of the European integration process. Liht appointed MFA council head Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic said on the occasion that the three top priorities of Serbia's policy in 2009 would remain the same as last year. “We will continue our diplomatic fight for the preservation of the country's constitutional order, we will accelerate the process of Serbia's European integration, and therefore of the integration of the entire West Balkan region as well, and we will work on the improvement of neighborly relations in the region,” Jeremic underlined.
