Radicals believe in Belgrade deal

Secretary General of the Serb Radical Party (SRS) Aleksandar Vucic says he still believes in the coalition agreement in Belgrade. He told the daily Politika that he "relies on the word given to him by [leader of the Socialist Party of Serbia] Ivica Dacic." Radicals believe in Belgrade deal In May, the Radicals signed an agreement with the Socialists and the DSS-NS coalition to form a local government in the capital. "Dacic gave me his word, but, I also believe in the coalition agreement. I have an absolute trust in Aleksandar Antic,” Vucic said of the SPS Belgrade board head. The high ranking SRS official told the newspaper that he did not feel "any great pain or regret” because of the prospects that the SRS would remain an opposition party at the state level. Vucic said the Radicals, still holding the most seats in parliament as a single party, offered their potential coalition partners, the Socialists and the DSS more that belongs to them according to the number of votes they received. But, he added, “if someone wants to join a coalition with Canak and Draskovic, and say that this is Serbia’s salvation, they can do as they please.” "We don’t regret anything, apart from spending eight years fighting the DS regime together, only to be deceived by some. But, what can you do,” Vucic said.

In May, the Radicals signed an agreement with the Socialists and the DSS-NS coalition to form a local government in the capital.

But, he added, “if someone wants to join a coalition with Čanak and Drašković, and say that this is Serbia’s salvation, they can do as they please.”
