The new Cypriot government won't recognize Kosovo’s unilateral independence says President Dimitris Christofias. Asked by a journalist whether the new government was ready to recognize independence, Christofias replied that Nicosia’s position remained the same, and that it would, as it had done thus far, call for the territorial integrity of UN member states to be respected, as stipulated by the Helsinki Final Act.
