The Serbian Oil Industry (NIS) general director will soon step down from the post, according to the energyobserver.com. The website reported Monday, citing unnamed sources close to the oil monopoly, that Srdjan Bosnjakovic was appointed to the NIS managing board as the new chairman. Report: NIS to get new director? “What brought about this change is the latest division of influence and power in the energy sector among the governing coalition,” the same sources said. According to the website, the new NIS general director will most likely be someone from President Boris Tadic’s Democratic Party (DS). Bosnjakovic, member of Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica’s Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS), neither declined nor confirmed the reports, stressing that he will "do everything the state thinks he should be doing."

According to the website, the new NIS general director will most likely be someone from President Boris Tadić’s Democratic Party (DS).

Bošnjaković, member of Prime Minister Vojislav Koštunica’s Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS), neither declined nor confirmed the reports, stressing that he will "do everything the state thinks he should be doing."
