The parents of a French man who died in Belgrade in 2009 as a consequence of beating will start procedures to claim damages from the state of Serbia.

The parents of a French man who died in Belgrade in 2009 as a consequence of beating will start procedures to claim damages from the state of Serbia. Brice Taton traveled to Serbia to attend a football match, but was attacked and beaten in downtown Belgrade by a group of hooligans. He died in hospital several days later. The Court of Appeals in Belgrade in late January halved prison sentences for the 15 persons found guilty in the case in January 2011. They were originally sent to jail for terms of 12 to 35 years.
