Interior Minister Ivica Dacic said that three more child pornography suspects have been arrested. Dacic said that they were suspected of acquiring, possessing and showing pornographic material, and abused children by making them participate in pornography. A total of 468 files were found on their computers that contained pornographic material, he said. Dacic added that MUP had initiated “a wide and all-encompassing operation for protecting children from sexual abuse” and that this operation was dubbed “Armageddon”. He said that police seized computers from different regions of Serbia and found a total of 20 terabytes of child pornography materials. “There was also a case in which a grandfather recorded a grandchild and distributed the recordings,” Dacic said. The minister called on families to report such cases immediately. Several days ago, a Radio Belgrade editor and taxi driver were also arrested in Belgrade under the suspicion of committing acts of pedophilia.
