Daily Politika writes that September 17th’s attack on French football fans was planned by Partizan hooligan groups, Alkatraz and Rebels. Hooligans from these groups attacked the Toulouse fans wearing surgical masks, and carrying torches and bats, according to the daily. "Attack on French fans pre-meditated" One of the suspects in the murder of Toulouse fan Brice Taton, Dejan Puzigaca, handed out bats and torches to the hooligans to use against the French fans, according to Politika’s source close to the investigation. Another suspect, Vladan Suvajac, gave out surgical masks so that the hooligans could hide their faces during the attack. Politika’s source claims that the Partizan hooligans planned out the whole attack in advance. Suspects Ivan Grkovic, Djordje Prelic and Ljubomir Markovic headed towards Obilicev Venac, where they knew that the French fans frequently went to have a drink. They then attacked the French fans, who were sitting peacefully in a café and having drinks. Brice Taton tried to escape but was caught by the attackers and beaten with wooden bats, lit torches, glasses, ashtrays and then tables and chairs. Politika’s sources says that Grkovic is a member of the Iridcibili group, while Djordje Prelic, who is still at large, and Markovic are members of the Alkatraz hooligan group, adding that the rest were from a group known as the Rebels.
