At the promotion of White Book 2015 of the Foreign Investors Council, Vucic said that Serbia moved up 32 positions on the World Bank list this year and that its ranking is significant progress and a good sign to all those wishing to invest in Serbia.

Commenting on the opposition's criticism that few investments have arrived in the country, the prime minister said that investments are scarce in Europe and around the world. "There are not enough investments in Serbia, but there are more than in other countries in the region, and there will be even more," he said.

Serbia is taking care of investments and it is creating a good environment, investing and offering incentives to attract businesspeople and investors, Vucic noted.

"Early signs of recovery"

Ove Fredheim, president of the Foreign Investors Council, stated on Monday that the Serbian government headed by Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic has shown strong commitment to reforms, stressing that early signs of Serbia's economic recovery are visible.

In the previous period, progress has been made in several areas, said Fredheim, stressing that nevertheless, the privatization process needs to be accelerated and more transparent.

In the coming period, the focus should be laid on the implementation of the tax laws and new laws on conversion of land and inspections, Fredheim said presenting White Book 2015 by the FIC that contains concrete recommendations for successful business in Serbia.
