Consumer prices of products and services in Serbia rose by 0.7 percent in September relative to August this year.

Inflation up by 0.7 pct in September, y-o-y at 2.1 pct

Consumer prices rose by 2.3 percent in September compared to December 2013.

The highest price increases were registered in the foodstuffs and non-alcoholic beverages group (2.3 pct), education (1.6 pct), restaurants and hotels (0.7 pct), transport and housing and water, electricity, gas and other fuels (0.4 pct), as well as clothing and footwear (0.3 pct).

The price increases in the furniture, household appliances and running maintenance group, as well as in communications, amounted to 0.2 percent.

Prices dropped in the recreation and culture group - by 5.8 percent - and the alcoholic beverages and tobacco group - by 0.1 percent.

There have been no significant changes in the prices of other products and services.
