Serbian currency strengthens against euro

The Serbian dinar (RSD) has continued its recovery against the euro (EUR), setting Tuesday's mean exchange rate at RSD 113.8336.

BELGRADE The Serbian dinar (RSD) has continued its recovery against the euro (EUR), setting Tuesday's mean exchange rate at RSD 113.8336. This is 0.4 percent, or 41 paras, up on Monday, the central bank (NBS) has announced. Serbian currency strengthens against euro Compared to a month ago, the national currency is 2.8 percent down against to the euro, while it is 2.8 percent up year-on-year. Since the start of 2013 the NBS sold a total of EUR 175 million and bought EUR 90 million in the interbank market in order to prevent "excessive daily fluctuations" in the exchange rate. The dinar's lowest value against the EU currency this year was on June 12, when it reached 114.5143, while its highest value was 110.5326, on April 30. Meanwhile, dinar's indicative exchange rate against the U.S. dollar was 0.2 percent up, at RSD 85.4222. Serbian currency strengthens against euro

Compared to a month ago, the national currency is 2.8 percent down against to the euro, while it is 2.8 percent up year-on-year.
