BELGRADE Serbia's budget deficit totaled RSD 75.91bn in the first four months of the year, the Serbian Finance and Economy Ministry released on Thursday According to the ministry, the expenditures added up to RSD 325.76bn and revenues totaled RSD 249.84bn. Serbia’s budget deficit stands at RSD 75.91bn According to the Law on the Budget, budget deficit on the annual level should add up to RSD 121.9bn, with revenues at RSD 965.7bn and expenditures at RSD 1.087bn. The budget deficit in April added up to RSD 26.1bn as revenues added up to RSD 70.17bn and expenditures totaled RSD 96.26bn. The January budget deficit totaled RSD 6.99bn, the deficit in February reached RSD 28.29bn and in March it added up to RSD 14.54bn. In the first four months of the year, budget revenues mainly came from VAT (RSD 127.8bn), excise duty tax (RSD 56.49bn), corporate income tax (RSD 18.27bn) while non-tax revenues added up to RSD 20.59bn. The highest expenditures in the period between January and April were recorded on grounds of transfers to mandatory social insurance organizations (RSD 96.43bn), revenues for employees (RSD 83.48bn), budget-funded social protection (RSD 34.5bn) and capital expenditures (RSD 5.54bn). The January budget deficit totaled RSD 6.99bn, the deficit in February reached RSD 28.29bn and in March it added up to RSD 14.54bn.
