BELGRADE Srbijagas Director General Dusan Bajatovic says the plan for restructuring and reorganization of this company was drafted without its management and experts. Bajatovic, a high-ranking member of the ruling Socialists (SPS) said that "therefore nothing is known about the plan for Srbijagas restructuring". "Restructuring plan done without Srbijagas" He added that he would "speak about the plan at a press conference on Thursday after he gets acquainted with the text." Minister of Energy Zorana Mihajlovic said earlier on Wednesday that the Serbian government should adopt a plan for restructuring and reorganization of the state-run natural gas enterprise, which should reduce expenditures by 30 to 32 percent and prevent the financial collapse of this public company. She said that a special anti-corruption team of the Ministry of Energy, which was prevented from entering Srbijagas, will do its job in this one and other companies. On the occasion, Bajatovic underlined that there are no legal basis or reasons for the existence of special anti-corruption teams of the Ministry of Energy. He said that a question arises who is controlling the anti-corruption team, adding that the Srbijagas management has sent a letter of warning to the Serbian government regarding the issue. A special team of the Ministry of Energy was prevented from entering Srbijagas with an explanation that it has no competences such the ones of tax police, financial police and various inspections, while it can get all information and an insight into Srbijagas documents in the Ministry of Energy. In the meantime, the State Audit Institution stated that it has submitted to the Basic Public Prosecutor's Office in Novi Sad a request for a lawsuit against Bajatovic due to violation of certain provisions of the Trade Law and the Law on Foreign Currency Transactions. She said that a special anti-corruption team of the Ministry of Energy, which was prevented from entering Srbijagas, will do its job in this one and other companies.
