Air Transport State Secretary Miodrag Miljkovic says the Serbian air traffic bodies are preparing to introduce direct flights to Australia, Canada and the U.S. Miljkovic told journalists in the National Tourism Organization of Serbia today that talks on signing of bilateral agreements on trans-ocean flights were "under way". Direct flights to Australia, Canada and U.S. "soon" He added that negotiations with India, China and Brazil are also planned to kick off. Miljkovic said that as a result the country is enhancing its airports, adding that besides the international airports in Belgrade and Nis, international flights are also expected to be introduced in Kraljevo, central Serbia. Miljkovic said that the General Master Plan for Transport in Serbia also envisages the development of airports in Batajnica (near Belgrade), Uzice (central Serbia), Vrsac (northeastern Serbia), and Bor (eastern Serbia), which will be used for the purpose of regional air transport.
