Zastava trade union officials will be meeting with Economy Minister Mladjan Dinkic today. Dinkic will discuss the pension plan with union officials at the Economic Ministry in Belgrade. Zastava union to meet with Dinkic Union official Zoran Mihajlovic told B92 that the union expected several specific problems to be addressed at the meeting. Mihajlovic explained that the union had prepared a pension plan proposal with seven points that Dinkic was expected to agree to. He said that it was important that there should be no redundancies among the 3,700 Zastava factory workers or the 400 other employees in the spare parts factory, the special vehicles plant in Sombor, and the Zastava Horticulture company. Zastava union officials expect to “finally have access to the pre-contract agreement” on the joint investment by the state and Italian Fiat at today’s meeting with Dinkic. At a meeting in the Economic Ministry on July 29, union officials were given a working version of the document written in English. (FoNet)
