Compared to the month before, prices of retail goods and services went up 1.2 percent in December last year. Average annual rise of these prices was at 6.5 percent, the Statistical Office has announced. December inflation at 1.2 pct Consumer prices increased 11 percent in December 2007, compared to the same month the year before. The prices of spirits and tobacco led the price hikes wave last months, when they grew 3.4 percent, followed by food and beverages with 2 percent, transportation costs, which went up 1.8 percent, and restaurant and hotel services, the price of which increased 0.6 percent.
