Veprov Dah Veprov Dah Address: 52 Strahinjica Bana St., Belgrade Phone: +381-11-29-10-135, +381-11-20-30-360 Working hours of restaurant and kitchen: 9 a.m. – 1 a.m. City transportation: bus: 24, 26, 79; tram: 2, 5, 10 Credit cards: Visa, Visa Electron, MasterCard, Maestro, Dina, Diners Garden or terrace: yes, summer, on the sidewalk, 50 seats Parking: 3rd zone Access for disabled: yes Music: pop, rock Menu: in Serbian and English Staff speak: English Cuisine: international Main courses: 750 – 1,470 dinars Breakfast: yes Available for hire: yes However its gastronomic offer has, in our opinion, been placed on an unjustifiable second position, with tap beer taking first place. The high prices we noted in the menu were equally unjustifiable as it turned out, regardless of the location. The soup with noodles and vegetables had only carrots as representatives, with an abundance of noodles, while the breaded olives serve in tartar sauce were an interesting entrée. Main courses include meat exclusively, from stuffed and rolled combinations to several beefsteak versions. Game meat is available in the form of a goulash with three types of meat (deer, venison, wild boar), with prunes, apricots and cornbread, but also as wild hog sausages which we tried, but weren’t smitten with: served with French fries and mustard, they still lacked a piquant note and juiciness. Dishes from the daily offer include dried red peppers stuffed with minced meat, served with sour cream – good taste, but overpriced. The pickled salad somewhat improved our impression, as did the simple yet succulent sour cherry pie. Meal for two, without wine: 3,000 dinars. This authentically named pub (Boar's Breath) has a likewise authentic ambiance with waiters dressed in kilts and a true pub atmosphere.
