Serbian Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic’s bid for the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) chairman has not yet been debated by officials in Sarajevo. This is according to Bosnia-Herzegovina Assistant Foreign Minister Ana Trisic-Babic. Bosnia still without stance on Jeremic's UNGA bid “Given that Lithuania also has a candidate, the Bosnia-Herzegovina Foreign Ministry should issue an official document regarding the matter and submit it to the Presidency,” Radio Free Europe quoted her as saying for the website Sarajevo-x.com. She pointed out that the Ministry should also weigh between where Serbia had or had not supported Bosnia-Herzegovina, adding that the body would most likely give a recommendation to the Presidency for whom to vote. "Serbia backed Bosnia-Herzegovina for any kind of candidacy," Trisic-Babic noted, adding that Serbia was a neighboring country and that perhaps Bosnia-Herzegovina had more interest there than in Lithuania. However, Bosnia-Herzegovina Presidency Chairman Zeljko Komsic said that he personally would not support the initiative. “As far as I am concerned, Bosnia-Herzegovina will not support Jeremic's candidacy for the chairman of the UN General Assembly,” he stressed, without stating the reasons for his position. Bosnia-Herzegovina Presidency Member Bakir Izetbegovic did not give his opinion on Jeremic's bid for the UNGA chair, the website said. A view of Sarajevo (FoNet, file) Tanjug
